Dear Parents,
One of the great lessons the Pandemic taught us was the value and tremendous importance of the physical classroom and the playing ground. It also has made us as educators realise the great responsibilities that we shoulder.
To quote Martin Luther King Jr “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.”
At Jermel's our vision is to situate the student at the centre of learning, and to enable the child to find and realise his/her potential. Right from the pre-primary stage we employ strategies and differentiated instruction to meet the unique needs and fuel the abilities of every child. We aim not only for children to explore and excel in the world of academia, but emphasize the significance of values and inculcate behaviours that ensure that students are respectful towards each other, to their elders, to other cultures and to their environment.
Students must be aware of the world around them and be compassionate towards the needs of the less privileged. They must learn to be part of a team and grow into leaders who will bring out the best in others around them. It is the effort of the school to turn children into individuals of consequence who will be assets to the nation and to the world. One who is not at odds with the world or fazed by the unknown, but will rather embrace and revel in the challenges in it. To be able to deal with failures with fortitude and courage and at the same time be modest when successful. To embrace the modernity that science brings without losing the importance of glorious Indian traditions.
